6 things you should know about epic bash

On December 30, 2025, Tiger Woods turned 50 years old. As one of the greatest athletes of all time, Tiger’s birthday and career were celebrated far and wide by fans and sports media alike. Now it’s time for Tiger to celebrate his 50th birthday, and to do so he’s got a historic party thrown right.
From a huge celebrity guest list to an official name, a fancy host site, a golf dress code and plenty of nods to his career, here are six of the most interesting facts about Tiger’s 50th birthday bash.
A tiger birthday party has a name… and a sponsor
Every pro golf tournament has an official name, and most have a company that acts as a presenting sponsor to help cover the costs.
Why not follow the same strategy for a great golf birthday party? That’s what Tiger and his TGR Foundation, which hosts the event, decided.
Tiger’s birthday will be officially known as “RED: Celebrating Legacy presented by EY US.”
The party will also serve as the launch of the TGR Foundation’s 30th annual fundraising campaign.
The historic (and luxurious) Palm Beach resort will play host
Tiger has been a longtime resident of the Palm Beach area, and over the years dozens of other PGA Tour pros and golf legends have joined him. It is also a popular destination for non-golfing celebrities and business elites.
So it makes sense that Tiger’s birthday party would be in Palm Beach. But the place is not your typical Palm Beach area.
The Breakers, which opened in the late 1890s, is one of the most historic and luxurious resorts in Florida.
Originally a resort for pirate pirates in the early 1900s, it has hosted the rich and famous for over a century. The current hotel, built in 1925, has a Renaissance Revival style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to the charity event and birthday party, Tiger’s 50th is also designed to celebrate his golf history. And the Masters has played a bigger role in Tiger’s career than any other tournament.
Tiger has won the Masters five times, including his first career in 1997 and the most recent in 2019. After winning each of those tournaments, Woods hosted the Masters Champions Dinner, where he had to choose a menu.
Why is that important? Because the dinner menu for Tiger’s 50th birthday party will feature highlights from his five Masters Champions Dinners.
Those highlights will reportedly include cheeseburgers, porterhouse steaks, fajitas, crab cakes, milkshakes and more.
A stacked list of celebrities for Tiger’s birthday bash
We don’t know who exactly is on the guest list for Tiger’s birthday party, but we do know a few details about it.
First, 300 A-List guests were invited. That may seem like a lot to you and me, but party planners consider it “intimate.”
TGR Foundation CEO Cyndi Court spoke with Front Office Sports about the strategy behind the guest list.
“Of course we could have made it bigger, but we also wanted it to be closer to celebrate the people who over the years have committed to Tiger’s vision of what could happen in the future,” said Court.
The dress code for Tiger’s birthday party is a nod to Sunday’s uniform
Given that the party has a name, a title sponsor and a theme, it makes sense that it includes a unique dress code, too.
Those attending Tiger’s birthday party were reportedly asked to add a “touch of red” to their ensembles for the evening.
That’s a nod to Tiger’s career. Throughout his decades playing professional golf, Woods has always worn the same uniform for the final rounds on Sunday: a red shirt and black pants. The dress code, like the name of the party, was inspired by Tiger’s uniform on Sunday (like his clothing company Sun Day Red).
The music legend will perform for Tiger and celebrity guests
There have been several occasions when Woods has hosted events featuring musical guests. Older golf fans can remember the days of the “Tiger Bash”. Usually when Tiger hires a music artist, you can bet they will be high profile, very famous, but often lacking in critical acclaim.
And Tiger’s 50th birthday party will be no different. Performing for Tiger and his celebrity guests will be New Jersey Jon Bon Jovi.
What’s next for Tiger Woods?
Once his birthday party is out, we’ll all be back to wondering the same thing: when will Tiger play golf again?
Answer: no one knows (including Tiger). He is still recovering from surgery last fall, and his due date is unknown. We know that he will be present at the TGL games as the second season begins. But right now we don’t know if Tiger will be healthy enough to compete any time soon.
As for the PGA Tour, one possible return date is the 2026 Genesis Invitational, which will be hosted by Woods, from February 19-22. That may be an overly optimistic guess.
If we know anything about Tiger, there is one tournament above all others circled on his calendar, the one he will definitely play if he is healthy enough: the 2026 Masters, which starts on April 9 at Augusta National.
