This constant driver 2026 has everyone in opposition

Going into ClubTest 2026, I thought I had a good idea of which 2026 driver I would like to like the best.
But we started at Ping and their new g440 k driver threw my burner and appeared all our other opinions of our Prash 2026 testers to set up. And let’s be clear, it’s a big hassle.
We can’t get into it, but most of us are very happy with this driver.
In this week’s episode of johnny’s fully equipped, CO-COUST JOLYNY WELWNY WELNDY WENDER FUELY HOLNDY WENURNER FUCTNER FUCTNER FUCTNER FUCTNY WANDNY WANGNY WENURNY WEJONLNY WANGNY WEJONLNY WANDNE AND JACKET FROM THE FIRST DAY OF CLUBTTEST HOMES 2026 Fittings, he talks about why – the g440 k could be the hottest driver of 2026.
Ping g440 Max Custom Driver
The G440 driver family (MAX, LST, SFT) is optimized to deliver more ball speed, including Ping’s deepest CG in a driver to date and a cheaper, thinner face, while continuing to ensure the game-changing forgiveness expected of a ping driver. The G440 max is a very forgiving model and suits golfers; Available in 9 °, 10.5 ° and 12 ° Lofts with moderate back weight. The large forgiven weight allows for more weight in the back. A deep, thin, fast face increases the speed of the ball for more distance, a higher launch. New Sound Design Molding, carbon crown and internal ribs produce a quiet impact experience. Free-hosel design saves weight to lower CG, increasing forgiveness. It allows more flexibility of the face of the tile with constant ball speed on the face.

“I think the driver will be like a cheat code,” Mortur said. “It’s the closest thing I’ve come to a cheat code.”
What was most surprising is that most of us tested the G440 K expecting it to be a high spin, more model like its premanrer, the g430 max 10k. But that’s not quite what it is.
“Anyone who has a fear of this, overshaving or not, doesn’t do anything,” Wunder said. “The only thing it does is get out of the middle of the fairway and it’s really fast.”
The driver launched the world tour in November, and just picked up a late win in Lauren Coughlang’s purse at the Thornton Example race this past weekend.
That’s two years in a row that ping has received a late drop event with an unreleased driver.

“I think you were there when I called. I think I turned to somebody and said, ‘This is not a ping driver,'” Wunder said. “Quick wit.”
“Anyone who goes into the right driver in 2026, if you don’t try the 440k, you’re an idiot. And you’re taking it the way it looks.”

Coughlin isn’t the only pro to get a new driver, either. Charles Howell III also found 440 K and told Wander about his testing experience.
“He calls me, he goes, ‘pro, this thing is just cutting it down a lot,'” he recalled. “And I go, ‘You took it down? What’s up, what did you do?’
“It’s like, ‘No, I got it on nine and flat.’
“And I go, ‘You should do a few things to it.’ I said, ‘So you have to move the weight, you know, towards the toe. You have reached the bottom.’
“So he’s like, ‘I’ll just have Spencer send a new one with a certain weight up front. So he got one with 10 grams of hot melt on the front.'”
“And he called me last night when we were done. And he goes, ‘holy s***, this is amazing!'”
