Harvey Valentine: Anaheim Ducks goaltender Petr Mrazek left last night’s game with an injury. Coach Joel Quenneville doesn’t think it’s serious.
Matthew Fairburn: Buffalo Sabers coach Lindy Ruff said goaltender Alex Lyon is in the day-to-day category, and it doesn’t seem like a big deal. Ruff said they hope defenseman Ryan Kesselring is back this week.
Scott Power: Chicago Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill said forward Connor Bedard is expected to return to the lineup before the Olympics break. Blashill did not have a timeline for Frank Nazar.
Dallas Stars: The Dallas Stars activated goaltender Casey DeSmith.
George Richards: Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice said linebacker Seth Jones is playing week-to-week and they hope he is ready to return before the Olympic break.
Jordan McPherson: Panthers forward Noah Gregor wore a contract jersey during practice. The last time they practiced (Thursday), he was wearing a no-touch jersey.
NHL Rumors: Pride, Devils, Canucks, Stars and Bruins
Jordan McPherson: Panthers forward Jonah Gadjovich was on the practice ice in an untucked jersey.
Dan Greenspan: Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar left last night’s game in the first half with the following injury. Striker Joel Armia left last night’s game in the second half with a groin injury.
Dan Greenspan: Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Johansson left last night’s game in the third period after being knocked down.
Stephen Rosner: New York Islanders coach Patrick Roy thinks forward Bo Horvat (down) will accompany the team on their road trip. He’s still not 100% sure.

San Jose Sharks PR: Defenseman John Klingberg was placed on IR.
Lou Korac: Striker of St. Louis Blues forward Nick Bjugstad (upper body) and defenseman Nathan Walker (upper) were on the ice yesterday morning with the team.
Leaves PR: Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has been placed on retroactive IR until December 27, and defenseman Marshall Rifai has been reinstated.
- Nick Barden: Nylander skated yesterday morning, and being placed on IR was a roster management move.
Anna Dua: Leaf Updates:
- Jake McCabe (lower body) is out for about a week, possibly sooner.
- Brandon Carlo had an ankle infection that also impacted his recovery (foot surgery), could be an option.
- Chris Tanev is being evaluated for surgery this week. It’s been out for a long time.
- Anthony Stolarz has been skating, ever since.
- Dakota Joshua is back in Toronto but has also been sidelined for a long time with an injured kidney.
Dave McCarthy: Carlo said back on November 13 he blocked a shot, which led to an ankle infection. Eight years ago he had a plate inserted in his ankle, which led to complications, requiring surgery.
David Alter: Leafs coach Craig Berube said Tanev is considering surgery, and it has to do with his latest issue and not the physical issues that kept him out of the lineup earlier this season.
