NHL Injuries: Ducks, Flames, Oilers, Penguins, Blues, Lightning, Leafs, Golden Knights, Capitals and more

Dan Arritt: Anaheim Ducks forward Leo Carlsson missed last night’s game with a lower back injury. Forward Cutter Gauthier missed last night’s game due to illness. Forward Troy Terry missed his third straight game with an upper-body injury.

The NHL: The Calgary Flames placed forward Blake Coleman on IR.

Lou Korac: Carolina Hurricanes linebacker Jaccob Slavin missed last night’s game due to an injury schedule. He played Saturday and Monday, and is coming back from a high-profile injury that caused him to miss 10 games.

Craig Merz: Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Damon Severson missed last night’s game due to illness.

The NHL: Edmonton Oilers goaltender Tristan Jarry (lower body) and defenseman Jake Walman (undisclosed) have been placed on IR.

Seth Rorabaugh: Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson has been placed on IR with an undisclosed injury and will be out two weeks. Karlsson had played 208 consecutive games for the Penguins.

Matthew DeFranks: The Blues activated forward Nick Bjugstad from IR and placed Mathieu Joseph on IR.

Eduardo A. Encina: Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point wore a brace on his right knee but remained with the team. They flew home after last night’s game and will have their knee closely monitored today. Lightning flies to St. Louis on Thursday.

Nation of Leaves: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson missed last night’s game with a lower back injury after blocking a shot.

The NHL: Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko will miss at least a week.

Canucks coach Adam Foote on Kiefer Sherwood: “He’s trying to get through something, and my gut says it’s probably going to be a week to three weeks, maybe,” Foote said. “It doesn’t look promising.”
