NHL Injuries: Bruins, Blackhawks, Wild, Kraken, Blues, Lightning, Leafs, and more

Joe McDonald: Bruins defenseman Andrew Peeke left last night’s game in the first half with a lower body injury. Coach Marco Sturm on Peeke:
“He’s going to try to slide, so we’ll see how it goes. He’ll definitely be on the road (to Chicago, where Boston plays Saturday) and we don’t think it’ll be long. Hopefully he’ll be back in Chicago, or the latest in Dallas (Tuesday).”
Bruce Miles: Calgary Flames defenseman MacKenzie Weegar briefly left last night’s game in the third period after blocking a shot on his left foot. He was carrying an ice pack after the game.
“I’m fine,” she said. “That’s how I’m contributing right now. If that’s the way, then so be it. I’ll eat it, but it was a team effort tonight, it really was.”
Bruce Miles: Chicago Blackhawks forward Teuvo Teravainen missed last night’s game with a groin injury and is day-to-day. Forward Connor Bedard is back in the lineup after missing one game due to illness.
Craig Merz: The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Erik Gudbranson from IR, and he’s back in the lineup after missing the last 38 games with a hip injury.
Michael Russo: Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin (lower body) is listed as week-to-week. He missed four games back in December.
Joe Smith: Outfielder Joel Eriksson Ek is everyday and walks with the team.
The NHL: New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat missed his sixth straight game last night with a lower body injury.
Wes Crosby: Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Dan Vladar missed last night’s game due to an undisclosed injury suffered in Wednesday’s game.
The NHL: Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen missed last night’s game with an upper body injury.
Joe McDonald: Seattle Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour is back in the lineup after missing the last 14 games with an upper back injury.
TSN: St. Louis Blues placed forward Robert Thomas on IR, and his upper-body injury will be reevaluated in two weeks. Thomas missed Tuesday’s game.
The NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper said defenseman Victor Hedman could return to the ice soon. He has been on IR since Dec. 11. There was no update on Brayden Point, who missed his second game.
Leaves PR: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Simon Benoit missed last night’s game with an upper back injury.
Leaves PR: Maple Leafs forward William Nylander left last night’s game with a lower body injury.
- TSN: Leafs coach Craig Berube on Nylander: “He’s back playing well and now he’s out again. We’ll see how long that lasts.”
Danielle Bain: Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk is listed as week-to-week now, according to coach Scott Arniel. Defensemen Colin Miller and Haydn Fleury are also week-to-week.
