Wilson unveils DYNAPWR Max+ driver – Golf News

Wilson Golf has expanded its DYNAPWR driver family by introducing the new DYNAPWR Max+ driver, which the company says is the most accurate and forgiving driver it has ever produced..
The Max+ is designed to deliver a moment of inertia over 10K, giving the clubhead exceptional stability.
The result is straight shots and consistent ball flights, especially for golfers who don’t always find the center of the face.
Despite achieving this high level of forgiveness, Wilson says he avoided increased clubhead weight, a common trade-off with very high MOI designs.
10K MOI without added weight
The drive is fully adjustable, with a six-way adjustable hosel and adjustable rear weight. This allows players to dial in the launch and spin characteristics to suit their swing and playing conditions.
Jared Guttmann, Wilson’s manager of advanced golf research and development, said the design approach focuses on efficiency rather than simply adding weight.
He explained that while many 10K MOI drivers rely on extra weight for stability, that can come at the cost of clubhead and ball speed.
According to Guttmann, the Max+ maintains high speed while still delivering high forgiveness.
PKR 360 face technology is re-engineered
Performance has also been improved with the PKR 360’s redesigned face design and wind-inspired shaping aimed at increasing clubhead speed.
The latest PKR 360 construction builds on the technology used in the 2025 DYNAPWR LS, Carbon and Max drivers, with a special focus on improving heel side performance without sacrificing speed or consistency on the rest of the face.
Wilson says the new face design brings much larger control surfaces to the environment, allowing engineers to remove five grams from the face and redistribute that weight towards the back of the head.
This change helps achieve the 10K MOI goal while keeping the overall clubhead weight the same.
Manufacturing tolerances have also been tightened to keep characteristic time within the USGA limit and increase ball speed within the rules.
It’s built for forgiveness in mishits
Forgiveness is further supported by bulge and roll geometry.
The face features a rounded profile designed to better handle the effect of gear on outside strikes, helping to maintain spin and maintain distance.
The goal is solid dispersion and improved accuracy from the tee and even on mishits.

Refined design and premium look
The Max+ features a lightweight carbon crown and newly designed head shape that creates more usable volume throughout the body.
The low crown height and light face frees up optional weight, allowing weight to be pushed farther from the center of gravity and outward to the rim.
This refined shape delivers a confident look at address, including a high toe opening that improves visual confidence while maintaining high levels of stability and playability.
The sound and feel are optimized for performance
Acoustic was also a major focus during development. Wilson engineers used advanced topology optimization, extensive simulation and multiple physical prototypes to refine the sound and feel impact.
According to Guttmann, large profile drivers are more difficult to tune acoustically, especially for fast swingers, making noise and feel a major focus throughout the design process.
Availability and pricing
The Wilson DYNAPWR Max+ driver will be available next month for a recommended retail price of £429.
It will be supplied with a stock UST LIN Q PowerCore Blue shaft in A, R and S flex at 55 grams, and a UST Helium NCT 4 shaft Lightweight at 40 gram lite flex.
Loft options include 9 degrees right hand, 10.5 degrees right and left hand, 12 degrees right and 12 degree Lite right hand model.
