Justin Rose’s clubs: Inside his winning set for the Farmers

Last year, Justin Rose’s victory at the FedEx St. Jude Classic brought a new club that week. This week, his dominant win at the Farmers Insurance Open came with a new team in the bag.
Although Rose shocked many by winning the FedEx late last season with a new Callaway driver he had not used at all before Thursday. This week at Torrey Pines, he apparently got a lot of feedback for his new TaylorMade Qi4D 7-wood.
The club has replaced some of the oldest in Rose’s bag as the former World No. 1 holds three TaylorMade M6 fairway woods. Rose won with a 5-wood in the bag last season but switched to a 7-wood this week. He still had the M6 3 wood in the bag this week, as he did in 2019 when he last beat the Farmers (albeit with a different shaft).
Those 3 woods are in place of the R7 Quad Mini driver that he used for most of last season, but with Torrey Pines’ strong length, that’s probably the biggest change in a long time.
Rose is an excellent hostsince the gearless agent does the multiple changes last season, including playing a driver with a lead tape wrapped around the shaft under the grip. Since winning in Memphis five months ago, he has made another change to his irons, now going for a full set of Miuras, split between a TC-202 cavity back in the long irons and MC-502 blades in the short irons. He previously used Titleist 620 CB long irons.

Rose has occasionally used a full set of Miura 502s, but has settled on splits with the slightly more forgiving TC-202s in the long irons. This win is the first win for a complete set of Miura irons since 2021.
Rose’s other bag contains Vokey wedges. He has yet to switch to the new SM11 and is sticking with his SM10s instead. He wraps the bag with a Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 putter.

Mitsubishi Chemical Diamana WB Wood Shaft
The board is back. After a few years away, the classic surfboard always associated with Diamana™ makes its comeback with the Diamana WB. Built on an incredibly popular and tour-proven platform, the WB delivers classic low-end performance and the stability and control you’ve come to expect after twenty years. The first in the 6th Generation Diamana™ family, the WB is designed with all the traditional products that make Diamana™ so popular, including the flowers on the handle section, the surfboard behind the Diamana logo, and returns to the original design of the 53/63/73/83 weight class. But rest assured, the only thing holding Diamana™ WB back is its appearance. Indeed, a super high-modulus 80-ton Dialead Pitch Fiber is used in the butt section to deliver maximum stability and increased power transmission and a high-modulus 46-ton fiber is used in the shaft angle to reduce torque without increasing weight for improved control and stability. Carbon fiber orientation in the tip section has been improved for further low torque. The classic feel of this Diamana™ profile is achieved through the use of our proprietary Xlink Tech™ Resin System and MR70 technology. Our Xlink Tech™ Resin System increases shaft strength and durability while increasing carbon fiber volume for better feel. The feel and strength are enhanced by the use of our aerospace-grade MR70 fiber – our strongest fiber to date.
