According to Christian Falk in his latest CF Bayern Insider column, El Mala doesn’t look like a big money mover just yet.

And in any case, the 19-year-old winger is likely to move to England instead, with Falk naming Brighton as one possible destination.

However, we have also seen El Mala linked with Liverpool by the Daily Mail and Manchester United by German outlet Bild.

El Mala said and passed on the latest from Christian Falk

Discussing the current situation with El Mala, Falk said: “IT’S TRUE: He said El Mala is interested in moving to the Premier League. He loves the league, he loves the country. It would be a good option to go to Brighton again. The Seagulls had offers for him before. But if he has a chance to get to a top club in the Premier League, this would also be very exciting!”

“At the moment, we have Bayern Munich on the table, who are also looking for this position. El Mala is the cheapest solution. He is a potential international player for Germany, so it is a very interesting transfer. However, I don’t think that Bayern Munich will do something crazy to try to sign a youngster. The FC Köln winger needs a quick replacement for Bayern, Bayern needs a quick replacement because Bayern is a quick replacement. We will keep a close eye on the situation.

“The current reigning Bundesliga champions have an agreement with FC Köln that if there is any suspicion that they will come from somewhere else, they will have the first right of refusal. Then they can discuss internally if they want to make a strong move, a lot of money will go to FC Köln. I am sure that Said El Mala will get his best change this summer because he is sitting at FC Köln at the moment. He is not always in the starting XI so he is a bit disappointed.”

It means El Mala’s recent form

El Mala has an impressive eight goals and three assists in the Bundesliga so far this season despite not being a regular starter for his current club.

The youngster can certainly thrive with better players around him, and there seems to be room for someone like him at Man United right now.

The Red Devils have recently let the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho leave, signing the new trio of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko last summer.

Cunha has been consistent, however, so El Mala would be a good alternative for MUFC to have in their starting trio.

Liverpool, on the other hand, would do well to snap up this talent as they need a long-term replacement for the aging Mohamed Salah, whose form has really run out this season.
