Our Liverpool player ratings are in as the Reds battled back from 2-0 down to lose 3-2 to Bournemouth in stunning Premier League action today.
Arne Slot’s side suffered from poor defense in the first half, but they responded well with Virgil van Dijk’s header before the break.
Dominik Szoboszlai then fired in another superb free-kick to level for Liverpool and look like earning the visitors a point, although they were somewhat unlucky to be denied by a stoppage-time winner from Bournemouth.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth player ratings
Alisson Becker – 5.5 – Dissatisfied with the first two goals at Bournemouth, especially the opener when he hit Joe Gomez to allow Evanilson to finish easily.
Jeremy Frimpong – 6 – Frustrating player, Jeremie Frimpong had his worst game tonight.
Milos Kerkez – 6 – After a slow start to life at Anfield, Milos Kerkez improved of late but was once again under his former club tonight, with Andrew Robertson set to replace him at half-time.
Virgil van Dijk – 6.5 – The Liverpool captain didn’t cover himself in glory with that opening goal scored by Evanilson, although he atoned for his mistake with a goal and was strong enough from then on to help the Reds back into the game.
Joe Gomez – 6 – Forced by injury, Joe Gomez did not have enough time to grow in this game.
Ryan Gravenberch – 6 -He did some good things and cut things off as you’d expect, but he didn’t offer enough going forward like he can when he’s on form.
Alexis Mac Allister – 6 – Subbed just before the hour mark, it wasn’t a memorable performance from Alexis Mac Allister, who kept things simple but didn’t provide enough intelligence.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 8 – One of Liverpool’s most consistent players this season, Dominik Szoboszlai saved them again tonight with a free-kick that worked well in a few days and scored one against Marseille.

Florian Wirtz – 5.5 – Another poor signing from Liverpool in the summer, Florian Wirtz got a lot of key decisions wrong, including not having the courage to shoot in good areas.
Mohamed Salah – 7 – One of the few Liverpool players who always threatened and tried to make things happen, even if he couldn’t finish the evening with a goal.
Cody Gakpo – 5 – Playing up front in the strike partnership, Cody Gakpo didn’t look like he was really confident in the role and had no impact on the game before being subbed off in the 74th minute.
