Crystal Palace agree financial terms with Tottenham for Brennan Johnson

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace for their winger Brennan Johnson.
Johnson has been linked with a move away this January following a reduction in playing time under Thomas Frank.
The arrival of Mohammed Kudus has had an impact on his place in the team, with the Welshman having started six league games so far.
Johnson wants to leave and there is a lot of interest from the Premier League.
Among the clubs showing interest, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth’s interest has been the strongest.
Fabrizio Romano posted earlier today that both clubs have spoken to Tottenham about the terms of the player’s deal.

And the transfer pundit followed up with another update, stating that Crystal Palace have agreed a £33.5m fee with Tottenham for Johnson.
He added that Bournemouth remain interested and have presented their project for the player while Sunderland and Everton have also been linked in the past 24 hours.
All clubs are reportedly ready to pay this amount to Tottenham. Ultimately it will come down to player choice as Romano said.
“Brennan Johnson, will decide his future soon after Crystal Palace agreed a £33.5m fee with Tottenham. Bournemouth have also launched their project while Everton and Sunderland have both called in the last 24h. The decision comes down to Brennan.”

Brennan Johnson’s time at Tottenham

Brennan Johnson proved to be a good signing for Spurs, with the Welshman scoring 27 goals and assisting 18 in 106 games for the club in all competitions.
His numbers in all competitions and levels stand at 74 goals and 36 assists in 268 games.
He played a major role in the club ending their long-awaited trophy drought last season, scoring the winning goal against Manchester United in the Europa League final.
He finished the season with 18 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
The final decision is Johnson’s
The decision comes down to what Johnson values most at this stage of his career:
The Crystal Palace: Palace is the clear best. A move to Palace allows him to stay in London and join a side that wants to attack for reinforcements.
In Oliver Glasner’s system that relies on speed and direct transition, Johnson could be their main man right away.
Bournemouth: The Cherries offer an interesting project, possibly looking at Johnson as a replacement for Antoine Semenyo, who is heavily linked with Manchester City.
It would be less stressful than the Palace but maybe a side step in terms of profile.
