WILSON GOLF INTRODUCES NEW STAFF IRONS – Golf News

Wilson Golf has unveiled its 2026 Staff Model iron family, introducing a three-iron system that combines classic design with modern innovations..

Scope includes icon Staff Model Bladethey are not refined Staff model CB and everything is new Worker model XBexpanding the appeal of the Staff Model franchise to a wider group of golfers.

Designed by Wilson’s research and development team, the new instruments underscore the brand’s long-term commitment to craftsmanship and performance.

A new mixed satin finish gives the clubs a contemporary look while maintaining the traditional shape that has defined Wilson’s irons for generations.

A consistent design DNA runs throughout the range, with each model offering sharp precision, a premium feel and subtle differences tailored to the player’s specific needs.

All three irons are designed to work together seamlessly, making the combo a key focus for the brand as golfers look to combine different head styles within one set.

WILSON SAID

Ben Hanser, CAD engineer at Wilson Golf, said the range represents a significant step forward for the product.

He explained that Wilson has drawn heavily on its steel heritage while using modern design techniques to create what he believes is the strongest steel family the company has ever produced.

Hanser added that the introduction of the Staff Model XB allows more golfers to enter the range, while maintaining the same look and feel across all three models.

The scope has a consistent appearance

Crafted from forged 8620 carbon steel, one of the softest materials used in iron construction, the new Staff Model irons are designed to deliver excellent performance and quick response.

The precision milled face and score line pattern promote long ball contact for spin and improved stopping power.

Wilson’s Fluid Feel Technology redistributes weight through the center of the face, while the center of gravity is carefully positioned away from the heel to improve overall performance.

Worker model XB

The Staff Model XB is a new Player Performance iron with a hollow body design designed to improve face flexibility for maximum ball speed.

The design also delivers an increased moment of inertia and a more accurate center of gravity placement, while maintaining a compact, touring-inspired look thanks to a smaller offset and smaller topline.

Urethane fills the hollow body to dampen vibrations and create a smooth, clean sound. A hidden entry hole under the shield medallion ensures a seamless look to the back and toe of the club.

Advanced computer-based simulation and topology optimization played a key role in the development of the XB.

Wilson engineers analyzed the body and face shape to improve feel, sound and performance, creating unique internal rib configurations for each area.

Hanser said the improved topology allowed the team to pinpoint exactly where internal dimensions should be placed to improve efficiency, while sound and feel were a priority in the hollow body design.

The advanced construction includes engineered rib bases, a parabolic mass pad and a well-placed tungsten weight to deliver an ideal center of gravity and high moment of inertia in a slim profile.

The face design has also been improved to maximize performance throughout the hitting area, with simulations focused on consistent ball speed, swing and launch from the range of strike zones.

This helps reduce dispersion and maintain performance on both mid-range strikes and mishits.

Staff Model Blade

Designed for elite golfers, the Staff Model Blade remains the flagship iron in Wilson’s lineup and continues to be trusted by tour pros around the world.

In 2026, the blade features a refined design to deliver exceptional control.

Variable hosel length improves mass distribution and ensures visual compatibility with CB and XB models.

The length of the blade has been shortened and reduced to create a compact profile and a modern touring inspired look.

Staff model CB

The Staff Model CB offers a modern cavity back design that balances forgiveness and feel. Shaped to match the Staff Model Blade mirror, the CB has benefited from extensive feedback from touring professionals.

Compared to the previous generation, the head has been shortened and its edges softened to better match the premium Blade profile.

Hosel length is now the same as the Blade to improve consistency, while an improved hosel to tackle change delivers a cleaner look.

Reduced offset and a straight, thin sole improve turf interaction and control through impact.

The long blade length and thin top line provide subtle forgiveness without sacrificing a traditional, inspiring aesthetic.
