Storms are expected – according to weather.com on Saturday night, the Pebble Beach area is expected to receive rain and sustained winds of 20 mph – and whoever behaves best may be the winner. Going into Sunday’s final round, Akshay Bhatia holds a two-way lead over Collin Morikawa, Sepp Straka and Jake Knapp.
“I’m not saying it’s fun,” said Tommy Fleetwood, “but you have to accept the conditions for what they are and you have to look forward to playing in it and making the most of it. It’s just a mindset you’re going to have.”
“We’ll see what the conditions bring. It sounds like it’s going to be tough, but who knows – the weather has been bad a lot of times. Yeah, that’s how I think you have to treat it. Whether you play well or not or things go your way is a different story. But go in there with the right mindset.”
