Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United are looking at Adams leaving Bournemouth
The 26-year-old midfielder emerged as the target of a shock transfer for the Red Devils in January.
The Daily Mail has reported that the United man is keen on a double Bournemouth sloop, as he looks to sign both Antoonemenge Adams and Tyler Adams.
And now Romano has confirmed that the Red Devils are indeed keeping tabs on the Bournemouth midfielder.
According to Romano, United are currently working on two separate transfer lists. The elite list includes Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton, players viewed internally as “Top, top targets” but very difficult to sign in January.
Tyler Adams, however, remains on the second list of realistic options in January, although any deal could be a clean slate.
Romano added that Bournemouth see Adams as a key figure under Andoni Iraola, making negotiations difficult in terms of both timing and measurement.
Giving the latest to Adams in his YouTube video, Romano said:
“Tyler Adams, from what I can tell you is one of the names that Manchester United are monitoring, not the only person because there are several players on the list of people.
“There are two types of different lists. There are high targets for players like Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton.
“In the January window, there could be a lot of opportunities but Bournemouth want to keep a player like Tyler Adams.
“Bournemouth believe that Tyler Adams is a really important player for them and so it won’t be easy at the end of the line to try to find a solution in time.”
However, the Cherries may not be willing to part ways with Adams. This is because Menyo of Antoine is getting more and more to leave in January, and Liverpool looked at the favorites to sign despite the strong competition from Myeni City, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Romano continued: “Bournemouth wants to keep him again because there is the situation of Antoine Semdouth. And because of that, he thought of losing two players like Tyler Adams, Memeyo after they have already sold many important players in the summer transfer window.
“At the moment, Bournemouth is insisting on keeping Tyler Adams at the club. After that we will be following the situation. We will see what happens.
“At the moment, it is a pleasure from the team. A man who is united as a player, he saw him as a last resort, but at the moment there is no easy one and it is not a place to keep Adams as one of the important numbers of Andoni Iraola.”
