This BIG MAX golf cart made traveling a joy: I tried it

The weather finally changed here in Arizona, the cool mornings and evenings gave way to scorching sun to the hot summer sun that lasted until October this year.

The new temperatures mean I can finally start walking the golf course again — my favorite way to play. And now that I’ve joined the pushchair club, traveling feels even easier, especially with BIG MAX’s latest offering, the Blade IP 2 pushchair, which I took out to test on my latest round. Here are the things I liked the most about it.

Portability

The best feature of the Blade IP 2 is that it folds to a nearly flat surface in just two steps, making storage and portability a breeze. The rear wheels fold up, so they take up very little space in the back of the car or in the garage, where I keep mine between rounds. It’s also lightweight – the aerospace grade aluminum is so light (13.6 lbs) that I can easily lift it with one hand. But once the cart is locked up for use, it feels solid, not squishy.

Adjustable push height

The Blade IP 2 allows you to set your desired push height of the handle, which is a really nice feature, especially if you’re only 5’4″.

The two foot breaks provide plenty of stopping power, even on slippery, uneven surfaces.

A smooth ride

The three wheels provided a very smooth ride, and I had no problems going up and down hills. I made sure to be careful when going over curbs and other high places, but the cart had zero performance issues during the cycle.

Variety

I love that this stroller is available in more colors than the basic black. You can choose from four other materials, from white to charcoal, or dark red or green.

Bungee clips

I’m not going to lie – this took me an embarrassingly long time to get right on the bottom of my bag. But once I got the hang of it, I appreciated the firm grip the straps gave the bag, allowing it to stay securely fastened throughout the cycle.

Storage

As a multi-tasker, the XL storage box is a huge plus. It has enough space for a regular water bottle, rangefinder and more. I removed all my covers before playing, but investing in a basket that drops to the bottom of the cart can be a smart move for anyone who likes to have more things out in the open instead of zipped up in your bag.

In the end, the only thing I felt could be improved about the stroller is the inclusion of a few accessories, such as an external drink holder and a phone clip. But as luck would have it, BIG MAX is currently running an epic promotion: Every pushchair order includes a free accessory bundle (an attached drink holder, a phone holder and an umbrella holder) – a value of $87.50! So take advantage while you can. If you’re an avid golfer, you’re sure to love all this push cart has to offer.
