How to watch American Express on Friday

If you thought it would take a little time for Scottie Scheffler to shake off the offseason rust, think again.

World No. 1 played its first round of the new PGA Tour season on Thursday, and showed why it’s the best in the world. Playing La Quinta Country Club, Scheffler carded nine birdies and shot no nine-under 63. He hit 17 of 18 greens on Thursday, and birdied one of his misses.

Despite his good cycle, Scheffler is not earning. He trails Min Woo Lee and Pierceson Coody by one, after those two players went 10 under on the Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West.

For Friday’s second round, Scheffler will switch to the Nicklaus Tournament Course.

You can watch the second round of the American Express on TV with the Golf Channel, which will air starting Friday at 4 pm ET. PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will provide exclusive coverage beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, with featured team appearances throughout the day.
