Juventus are planning a £30m bid for Jakub Kiwior as part of an eye-catching transfer from Arsenal

Arsenal could be set for a major financial storm as Serie A giants Juventus plan a £30 million move for defender Jakub Kiwior this summer.
The 26-year-old, who moved from North London in September to make way for the arrival of Piero Hincapie, is currently on a long-term loan at Porto, where his stock has soared.

Juventus renew old interest in Jakub Kiwior
According to Tuttosport, Juventus have renewed their long-term interest in the versatile defender, who is equally comfortable on the left side of a four-man defence.
The Bianconeri are reportedly keen to bring Kiwior back to Italy, where he excelled up front with Spezia, to provide competition and cover for former Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly, who moved to Turin last summer.
Juventus’ interest in the Poland international dates back to his time in Serie A between 2021 and 2023.
While Arsenal eventually won the race for his signature in a £21 million deal, the Italian club continued to monitor his progress.
The report suggests that Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini was in Portugal last week to scout Kiwior while Porto were playing high-profile games against Sporting and Benfica.
The 26-year-old has established himself as a mainstay in Francesco Farioli’s defence, helping Porto keep 12 clean sheets in Liga Portugal this season.
Juventus are reportedly looking at him as a player who could quickly improve their defensive unit as they continue their rebuilding process.
Arsenal are keen on the transfer windfall from Kiwior’s sale
This situation is complicated by the structure of Kiwior’s current movement. His loan deal at Estádio do Dragao includes a mandatory buyout clause, meaning Porto will pay Arsenal around £23 million to make the transfer permanent this summer.
However, permanent residence in Portugal is not guaranteed. If Juventus follows through with their $30 million interest, Porto would be tempted to make a quick profit on the defender.
For Arsenal, such a quick turnaround would be a huge advantage; The initial agreement between the Gunners and Porto reportedly includes a sell-on clause, which will see Mikel Arteta’s side receive an additional £1.7 million if Porto sell him this summer.
With Hincapie having agreed a permanent five-year contract at the Emirates, Arsenal’s decision to move Kiwior appears to be a historic one, potentially netting the club around £25 million as they make room for a new star defender.
Kiwior’s time at Arsenal
Kwior arrived at the Emirates in January 2023 for £21 million.
During his stay in North London, he made 68 appearances for the Gunners and was often called upon by Mikel Arteta at key moments to fill in for the injured Gabriel Magalhaes or Oleksandr Zinchenko.
While a reliable teammate, he has struggled to establish a permanent starting position beyond the team’s preferred pairing.
His departure in September 2025 was seen as the best move of all parties, allowing Arsenal to bring in Piero Hincapie while giving Kiwior regular first-team football.
