Liverpool have reportedly made checks on Michael Olise as the Bayern Munich defender is described as a “dream target” for the Reds.
However, it seems that Liverpool are realistic about their chances of signing Olise, and are currently looking at a completely absurd deal, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Frenchman has had a great season for Bayern, with Plettenberg noting on his X page that the player currently has 38 goals and assists in all competitions.

Diomande is another exciting talent who has impressed in the Bundesliga, and LFC fans will have to hope that he can eventually develop into a player similar to Olise.
Liverpool’s need for a new defender is clear
Whether Liverpool sign Olise, Diomande, or someone else, they clearly need a winger of this profile this summer.
In recent history, the Merseyside giants have been able to rely on the goals and assists of Mohamed Salah, but it seems that age has caught up with the legendary Egyptian.
Salah, now 33, has just eight goals and seven assists in all competitions so far this season – a huge drop from the crazy numbers that fired the club to the Premier League title last season.
But it’s not just Salah – there’s also been a huge dip in form for Cody Gakpo this season, while the sale of Luis Diaz looks increasingly like a mistake as time goes on.
Olise looks better equipped than anyone to replace Salah, but it also wouldn’t make sense for Liverpool to pursue a ridiculous deal, so Diomande could be a smart long-term alternative.
