Manchester United are reportedly ready to launch a €120m bid for Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The England international has been one of the top players in world football in his position for some time now, and one imagines that many Man Utd fans would love to see him at Old Trafford.

It will be interesting to see if any other outlets pick up on this, but for now the rumors linking him to the Red Devils come from Spanish site Fichajes.
Their report claims that United could be ready to pay €120 million to bring Bellingham this summer, although they add that Real Madrid are unlikely to let him go.

While this wouldn’t be an easy thing to do, and Fichajes isn’t everyone’s idea of a high-quality source, the story may not be as crazy as it sounds.
We know that Bellingham was wanted by United in the past, BBC Sport reports about them offering the player a place to train at a young age.
Since then, Bellingham has continued to improve and has the qualities to touch MUFC, although his form has dipped a bit this season, due to injuries.
What this does not mean, however, is that even if Real were to keep faith with the 22-year-old for a long time, there would be a price to tempt them.
But should Man United invest in Jude Bellingham?
Whether United should make a big bid for Bellingham is another question, however, and in this age of strict Financial Fair Play rules, it may not be worth the risk.
Fichajes made it clear that United could pay 120 million euros or more for Bellingham, but there would also be his high wages to consider, and there could be players out there who could offer similar qualities without costing as much.
Again, this is a position that the club could do with strengthening, and it is possible that a marquee signing of this position is required if Bruno Fernandes leaves, or the Daily Mail reports that they are doing everything possible to keep the Portuguese star.

If Bellingham’s form improves and he gets over his injuries, it’s easy to see that point rising in the near future, but that will also hit his transfer fee points.
Time will tell how much more there is to this story, but there are reasons this shouldn’t be completely dismissed.
