Host: “Dave, is Alexis Lafreniere’s name up again?”
Dave Pagnotta: “I think it’s long overdue for that to happen now. I think the Rangers would be open to exploring that. I think they’re open to it now, but I think the size of that contract is very likely to happen in the offseason, not out of the question now, but there’s a willingness to listen. There’s a listening ear from others.
Braden Schneider and Vincent Trocheck are the guys I think are the most likely to be moved at the trade deadline. And I’m curious, guys, about Adam Fox and what they decide to do there. You have full range of motion. He is currently in LTIR. He tries to go back. Could that be something at the deadline? Is that possible with a frame? Inside the draft? I think there is a willingness to consider those options with the Rangers. But this is another situation where I think he and Lafreniere are probably leaving in the summer if it happens. “
