NHL Rumors: Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens, and NHL Trade Watch List
Los Angeles is looking for scoring help, and they reached out to the Canadiens for Patrik Laine.
The fourth season: The Los Angeles Kings could use some scoring before losing Kevin Fiala for the rest of the season. GM Ken Holland scores a play-by-play goal, as well as a goaltender. Dennis Bernstein reported that the Kings have reached out to the Montreal Canadiens about forward Patrik Laine, but there may not be a match.
“As the Kings look at the market for a top-six forward, I can confirm that they have spoken to Montreal about Patrik Laine,” Bernstein said. reported by X. “However, it doesn’t seem to be the right fit at the moment and the Kings are looking elsewhere.”
The Kings have approximately $12.6 million to work with, and it is not known who they are targeting.
