Rockford, IL – The Rockford IceHogs announced today that the BMO Center will feature new, state-of-the-art digital scoreboards that will be unveiled during the team season. Saturday, December 27 game against the Texas Stars on 7 p.m
BMO Center is one of the first platforms in North America to display these 360-degree LED boards and is the first to display digital dash boards from Athletica Sport Systemsthe world leader in hockey dasher board and field systems. The boards around the playing area at the BMO Center will provide incredible entertainment for IceHogs fans and business partners.
“We are thrilled to light up the BMO Center with Athletica Crystaplex Live LED digital scoreboard technology,” said IceHogs President of Business Operations, Ryan Snider. “Over the past five years, the BMO facility has made more than $30 million in upgrades focused on improving the fan experience, including significant technology upgrades last summer in video production and smart lighting equipment. Now with the addition of backlit LED dash boards, the entire visual experience at an IceHogs game will come to life from the ice level to the bleachers, and everywhere in between.”
This announcement comes as one of the latest developments the BMO Center has received over the past five years and is a testament to the investment from the City of Rockford, the Chicago Blackhawks, the IceHogs, Winnebago County, the State of Illinois, and RAVE (Rockford Area Venues & Entertainment Authority) in the downtown arena.
