Manchester United vs City full player ratings
Senne Lammens – 7/10 – It wasn’t a busy day for the Manchester United goalkeeper, but he produced some excellent saves in the first half to keep the home side level as they dominated but still struggled to find success.
Harry Maguire – 7/10 – He worked well with Erling Haaland and there was an early header coming back from the bar. He is strong and reliable when his whole team needs him.
Lisandro Martinez – 7/10 – Someone who looked like he could be exploited by Haaland, but Lisandro Martinez held his own and showed his worth in this United team.
Diogo Dalot – 6/10 – The weak link in this MUFC team for a long time now, it was another shaky performance from Diogo Dalot at right back, even if it didn’t matter much on this occasion.
Luke Shaw – 7/10 – A solid performance from left-back Luke Shaw, who has once again shown how good he can be when fit and when used in his best position, often filling in as part of Ruben Amorim’s back three.
Casemiro – 7/10 – Even if his legs are a little off, Casemiro is still capable of performing at the highest level, and he did a decent job of shutting down City’s midfield today.
Bruno Fernandes – 8.5/10 – United’s creative spark throughout the game, and all that was missing from his performance was a goal.
Kobbie Mainoo – 7.5/10 – Back in the starting line-up under Carrick, Kobbie Mainoo has shown us all the many reasons why he should keep his place as he keeps the ball rolling with a solid 91% pass rate.
Patrick Dorgu – 9/10 – Having scored the second goal to kill the game, Patrick Dorgu has made a name for himself since being used as a winner at left back, with his best performance since joining United.
Mad Diallo – 7/10 – Not his best attack in his first game since returning from the Afcon, but Amad Diallo is always a hard worker you can count on in big games like this.
Bryan Mbeumo – 8/10 – Scored a well-taken opener on the stroke of half-time and looked happy throughout the game, even if playing as a striker isn’t the best way to get the most out of him overall.
