STAYSURE LEGENDS TOUR OPENS 2026 WORLD SCHEDULE – Golf News

I The Legends Tour presented its 2026 world schedule and confirmed the new era of the circuit as it becomes official The Staysure Legends Tour.

The reconstruction follows the appointment of Staysure as the title sponsor and showing a new chapter of prestige, with a renewed identity, an expanded international calendar and a continued focus on elite competition for more than 50 years.

With Ryder Cup captains, major champions and proven tour winners joined by an influx of new talent, the 2026 season promises to combine experience and emerging storylines in some of the game’s most recognizable areas.

The global schedule shows a bright new chapter

The 2026 campaign will include the UK and Ireland, Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean and Asia, emphasizing the growing growth of international travel.

The season starts in February in Marbella at Aloha, where home favorites José María Olazábal and Miguel Ángel Jiménez will headline a strong field.

The circuit then returns to Barbados in late April for an event at Apes Hill hosted by Masters champion and 2006 Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam.

The Tour’s biggest event, the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, will once again be hosted by former Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie at Trump International Scotland in Aberdeen.

August’s tournament will be the first professional event played on the venue’s New Course, marking a significant milestone for both the club and Scottish golf.

Three major tournaments also feature prominently in the program. The Major run of the season begins with the Senior PGA Championship in Florida in April, followed by the US Senior Open in Ohio in July.

It concludes with the ISPS HANDA Senior Open on Gleneaglesthe famous venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup, providing a fitting stage for one of the most prestigious titles in senior golf.

Other highlights include the co-sanctioned PGA Tour Champions event in Portugal at the end of July, bringing together the world’s best names at the Els Club in Vilamoura.

Opportunities for newbies are always average

In addition to its professional offerings, the Staysure Legends Tour will continue to provide novice golfers with the opportunity to mingle with some of the game’s most respected figures.

Pro am formats and competitive tournament events remain a staple of the schedule, offering unique access to the legends of the sport.

Staysure, founded in 2004, is one of the UK’s most trusted travel insurance providers, specializing in cover for the over 50s, including those with pre-existing medical conditions.

With global growth becoming more important, the company’s ambitions are similar to those of tourism.

Building momentum from 2025

The announcement follows an outstanding 2025 season, in which Australia’s Scott Hend won the Order of Merit title after a strong campaign.

A multiple winner on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour, Hend led a year that also featured a wave of rookies challenging the established names.

Ryder Cup players Jamie Donaldson, Stephen Gallacher and David Howell were among those in contention, along with seasoned campaigners Johan Edfors, Anthony Wall, David Drysdale and Steve Webster.

Darren Fichardt has been crowned Barry Lane Rookie of the Year after impressing throughout the Legends Tour and DP World Tour, highlighting the circuit’s growing depth and competitiveness.

With Ryder Cup pedigree, big-winning talent and growing global growth, the 2026 Staysure Legends Tour will deliver another tough season. Other additions to the program are expected to be confirmed later.
