Peter Berce: “Finally, here we got about 90 seconds or a minute. Now, Canucks, I’m sure Canucks fans are happy with where the situation is the last two years, but did they do what you thought they would do in the allotted time?”
Dave Pagnotta: “No, I thought they were going to pull out a lot of pieces. It felt like a week in and out that it was going to be an unexpected ending for Conor Garland to move, move, and that turned out to be true.
NHL Rumors: Jeff Skinner, San Jose Sharks, and Vancouver Canucks
I thought they were going to get a lot of guys out. Teddy Blueger. There was a lot of interest. He grabbed her. They like him there, so they’re going to try, they’re going to talk to Blueger about a contract extension at some point here, since the deadline is over.
Drew O’Connor has generated a lot of interest. Evander Kane, things have really gone downhill for Kane. They are trying to make that happen. They were willing to keep half of his contract, but it didn’t come to that.
I didn’t think anything was close to Brock Boeser, and I wouldn’t be shocked if that stays the case for a while, but it looks like Jake DeBrusk wants out, and that’s something to keep an eye on this summer. He will have a lot of work this summer for sure.”
Will the Minnesota Wild Consider Moving Jesper Wallstedt in the Summer?
Dave Pagnotta on TFP Hotsove on Sirius XM NHL Network Radio on Saturday said the Minnesota Wild could look into moving Jesper Wallstedt this summer.

Peter Berce: “Go to this before we hit the break. The goaltending position in Minnesota. It’s pretty stacked. Did (Bill) Guerin ever try or did other teams try to get (Jesper Wallstedt) out of Minnesota? And if so, was the asking price so high that it wouldn’t meet the asking price, at least for Bill Guerin?”
Dave Pagnotta: “Yeah, I don’t think there’s anything close to that. If they were going to make a move, the Wild were a high-level guy. And maybe this was for the middle position. Maybe this was them, trying to look for the middle position and get a legitimate 2C, because we know they were in Vincent Trocheck. And then they didn’t come out because they didn’t come out.
NHL Rumors: Rangers, Trocheck, Schmaltz, Hurricanes, and Trades Too Late
And then the teams were not willing to meet any price of the New York Rangers. And Minny made a promise about him a short time ago. And then just keep that line of communication as the Rangers try to see if they can win it, and they didn’t feel comfortable moving Trocheck at all.
So, that being said, I think that’s something they’re going to look at in the summer, because they’ve got some really good pieces in this team. They found (Filip) Gustavsson in the net. There is a chance they could move Wallstedt in the summer. By all accounts, we will check. “
