TaylorMade introduces Qi4D driver family – Golf News

TaylorMade has launched its new range of Qi4D drivers, introducing four models designed to deliver more speed, improved consistency and more suitable options for golfers of all abilities.
The Qi4D family consists of the Qi4D, Qi4D LS, Qi4D Max and Qi4D Max Lite, TaylorMade describes the range as its fastest and most comfortable driver system to date.
All four models will be available to pre-order now, with retail availability from January 29, priced at £549. Launch Monitor Powered (LME) versions will also be offered for £579.
According to TaylorMade, modern driver performance is increasingly defined by speed and personalization, and the Qi4D range is designed to deliver both.
“Golfers want a driver that fits them and gives them speed off the tee,” said Brian Bazzel, Vice President of Product Creation for TaylorMade. “From the aerodynamic head shape to the advanced face design and the use of lightweight materials, we’ve created our fastest family of drivers yet.”
Carbon surface technology at the core
At the heart of the Qi4D range is a new carbon face design, which TaylorMade says produces faster ball speeds than traditional titanium faces while also improving durability.
The redesigned radius on the face is designed to deliver consistent spin and distance on shots that hit up and down the face.
The drivers also feature an updated Speed Pocket™, developed using Finite Element Analysis, to improve face flexibility and ball speed in the low impact areas of the face.
TaylorMade’s proven 60x Carbon Twist Face™ technology remains, helping to reduce dispersion on outside strikes.

Aerodynamics and fit
Each Qi4D head shape has been refined through hundreds of simulations to measure aerodynamic efficiency and forgiveness and stability.
TaylorMade says the improved shape allows golfers to swing faster while maintaining confidence at address.
Greater focus of scope is appropriate. Using data from over 11 million driver shots, TaylorMade developed its new REAX™ shaft system, designed to fit golfers based on their swing level – high, medium or low.
Golfers can now determine their swing level using a simple video of the face in their swing, helping golfers recommend the most suitable REAX shaft.
The program aims to simplify the installation process and make customization more accessible to everyday golfers.
Matthew Simone, Product Division Director, Custom, said: “With Qi4D, we’ve brought customization to our stock machines.
Our driver onboarding process is now more accurate and efficient than ever before.”

Model overview
-
Qi4D: The most adjustable head in the range, featuring four adjustable weights that allow golfers to fine-tune launch, spin, forgiveness and shot position. Found in lofts from 8° to 12°.
-
Qi4D LS: A low-spinning and very fast model, designed for players who want high speed and performance. Two moving weights allow precise control of flight and rotation.
-
Qi4D Max: A high MOI driver built for forgiveness and stability, using an aircraft-grade aluminum collar to save weight while maintaining adjustment.
-
Qi4D Max Lite: A very light option aimed at golfers looking to increase clubhead speed, featuring lightweight components throughout and a unique two-tone head design.
All models have a 4° loft sleeve for added adjustability and are available with a range of REAX shaft options.
Early travel discovery
Qi4D drivers are already making an impact on professional travel. World number one Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood all adopted Qi4D in late 2025, while Nelly Korda, Charley Hull and Brooke Henderson also adopted new drivers.

On the DP World Tour, Jayden Schaper scored back-to-back victories at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open using the Qi4D LS.
TaylorMade expects the Qi4D range to see widespread use across the men’s and women’s tours as the 2026 season progresses.
