Tottenham are eyeing a free transfer for Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic

Tottenham are keeping a close eye on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, with reports suggesting the North London club are ready to battle Chelsea for his signature this summer.
According to Foot Mercato, the Serbian striker is attracting a lot of interest from the Premier League as his time in Turin draws to a close.
Although European giants such as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have previously pursued him, England now appears to be his most likely destination.
Tottenham remain “evolution-focused,” eyeing the 26-year-old as a potential long-term marquee signing.
Dusan Vlahovic is set to leave on a free transfer in the summer
The warning from Premier League teams comes as contract negotiations between Vlahovic and Juventus have completely failed.
The striker’s current contract expires in June 2026, meaning he will be available as a free agent at the end of the season.
Juventus had hoped to tie down their star forward on new terms, but talks have stalled over wage demands, leaving the Old Lady resigned to losing a player they once signed for more than €80m on a free transfer.
This gives Spurs an excellent market opportunity, potentially landing the world-class number nine without a transfer fee, although competition for his salary will be fierce.
They face strong competition from Premier League clubs such as Newcastle and Chelsea as well as from abroad.
Vlahovic’s impressive goalscoring record
Despite recent contract setbacks, Vlahovic’s pedigree as one of Europe’s most lethal players remains undeniable.
Since bursting onto the scene with Fiorentina, the Serbian-born player has scored more than 90 goals in Serie A, consistently among the league’s top scorers.
His record places him in elite company; he is one of the few strikers born after 1999, alongside Erling Haaland, who has broken the 40-goal mark in Europe’s top five leagues very quickly.
Even in an interrupted 2025/26 campaign, Vlahovic has shown his resilience, netting 3 times in 4 Champions League games before an adductor injury ruled him out in December.
| The club | Appearance | Goals | It helps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Juventus FC | 162 | 64 | 16 |
| ACF Fiorentina | 108 | 49 | 8 |
| FK Partizan Belgrade | 27 | 3 | 1 |
| Fiorentina Primavera | 22 | 20 | 1 |
| Total | 319 | 136 | 26 |
Spurs scouts are reportedly convinced that his physical profile, aerial dominance, and dangerous left foot are made for a Premier League body.
Tottenham need a lethal striker
Spurs’ interest in Vlahovic is driven by the crisis in their attacking department, with a number of departures expected this summer.
Richarlison faces an uncertain future, with reports suggesting the club are finally ready to pay for the Brazilian after a controversial incident in North London.
In addition, Randal Kolo Muani’s loan test appears to have failed. The Frenchman has struggled to adapt to the Premier League and is expected to return to PSG when his short-term deal expires.
Adding to this issue is the situation of the talented youngster Mathys Tel, who is expected to go out to find football that always plays for the first team.
With their current options dwindling, acquiring a proven goalscorer like Vlahović has become a priority for the Spurs management.
