Tottenham played for two to three months

Tottenham have suffered a serious injury as midfielder Lucas Bergvall is reportedly facing a lengthy layoff following a recurrence of the injury during their Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old, hailed as an “unstoppable” talent since his arrival, is now in the race to make another appearance this season.

Lucas Bergvall is out for two to three months

According to a bad report from the Swedish outlet, Fotbollskanalen, Lucas Bergvall’s injury is serious enough to keep him out for a long time.

The young Swedish player is so ‘severely injured’ that he is expected to be sidelined for two to three months.

The timing couldn’t be worse for the youngster on the international stage. Sweden will face Ukraine in an important World Cup semi-final on March 26, with the group to be announced on March 18.

According to the report, Bergvall will definitely miss the playoffs, a sad development for a youngster who was hoping to help his nation qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Injury is the result of gambling that backfires. Bergvall scored a brace against Bournemouth but was rushed from the starting line-up for Dortmund’s crucial game due to Tottenham’s injury problem.

He was able to play for an hour before succumbing to his injuries, leaving the field in dismay.
