Hoiana Resort & Golf: Enjoy Luxury and Links in Vietnam – Golf News

When you think of Vietnam, images of a stunning country of beaches and lush, green mountains are quickly conjured up, although the country of the “Rising Dragon” has also been on the rise as a sought-after destination for international golfers.

The wonderful climate and beautiful weather provide the perfect backdrop to play the links, some of which are some of the best golf courses in Asia. Hoiana Resort & Golf, located near the historic city of Hoi Ain in central Vietnam, falls into that category.

This state-of-the-art beachfront facility offers an 18-hole championship-level course to complement the exclusive resort living nearby.

In addition, a special casino, complete with 140 tables and more than 250 machines, adds to the overall appeal of the place. Any golfer looking for a unique experience on a lap of Vietnamese luxury needs to add a visit to their bucket list.

They are not done yet, and as explained by casino comparison and review site Casino.com, expansion plans are already in the works to make Hoiana an even more incredible place.

Experience the high life in Hoiana

It first opened amidst fanfare in 2020 as a multi-billion dollar mega project, a 1,200+ room hotel and golf course built to attract a certain class of traveler.

The developers spared no expense (and it shows) and enlisted renowned golf course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. to oversee the design of the Hoiana Shores Golf Club.

Trent Jones Jr. he has a catalog of more than 250 golf courses in his portfolio, although his work in Hoiana is one of his best works. In fact, he said so himself:

“I’ve worked in Asia all my adult life. We’ve worked all over the region and looked at projects in Vietnam. But it felt like the best site was reserved for us. It was a great hunt that ended up with us finding a golf course project near the ocean. When the great world meets the ocean, great golf can happen.”

This is a true links design in every sense, featuring wide open fairways with tall dunes, tough but fair fescue grass, tickled by the coastal breeze from the East Sea.

Playing at Hoiana Shores Golf Club is similar to the experience golfers have at famous seaside courses in Scotland and Ireland, albeit with more sunshine than their Celtic counterparts.

With a distance of 7,000 yards from front to back, golfers must navigate elevation changes, tricky bunkers and holes that require a balance between risk and reward from the start.

The course design is considered by many to be outstanding, green with a realistic and thorough presentation throughout the year.

Luxury Accommodation and Other Amenities Available

Of course, Hoiana isn’t just about hitting the links. They go well beyond golf courses to provide the perfect escape.

Guests can choose from several luxury accommodation options, including the elegant Hoiana Hotel & Suites and the family-friendly New World Hoiana Beach Resort. There is something to suit all palates.

Both offer direct access to the beach, multiple swimming pools, award-winning resorts and, of course, a host of restaurants, offering guests an ample variety of meals each day. You can tuck into an authentic Vietnamese specialty or sample something with an international flavor.

For non-golfers, there’s plenty to explore, with wellness programs, children’s activities and entertainment all on offer for those who don’t want to pick up the clubs every day.

Indeed, one of Hoiana’s greatest points is its location. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An Ancient Town is just a short drive away, and has lantern-lit streets, historical significance and vibrant local markets to discover.

Many visitors like to hit the golf course early before spending the afternoon in exploration mode for a more balanced vacation.

Effective Details of Interested Parties

If the prospect of visiting Hoiana is appealing, there are many packages to consider. With varying price points to suit different budgets, deals often include lodging, multiple rounds of golf, professional coaching classes and caddy fees along with access to practice facilities and other amenities.

Golf resorts have been popping up across Southeast Asia in recent years, however, Hoiana stands out from the competition, combining authentic links-style play with five-star luxury.

Independent reviews, such as those found in Top 100 Golf Courses and other leading travel and shopping publications, consistently rank it among the best in that corner of the world. Any golfers planning an international tour this year should consider Hoiana Resort & Golf as their next destination.
