NHL Rumors: 3 “Potential” Packages for Robert Thomas and the latest on Vincent Trocheck

Steve Kouleas: “Will this deadline live up to the hype, Dave?”

Dave Pagnotta: “I think so. We are starting to see big names now being scratched with Toronto, thank you for doing that. I expect a few more here in the next few days, going to Friday, there are many names. There are many players involved in the teams that want to buy. And although it is a buyer’s market, I expect fireworks for 48 hours here.”

NHLRumors.com Note: We see players like Vincent Trocheck, AJ Greer, and a few others locked up for trade related reasons or system management reasons. We know the Minnesota Wild are looking at a center and have an offer out there for Trocheck.

Names like Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, Justin Faulk, and maybe Jordan Binington of St. Louis Blues are available for trade.

NHL Rumors: St. Louis Blues, and the Ottawa Senators

Could Steven Stamkos or Jonathan Marchessault be traded to the Nashville Predators, who have already started trading, as Nick Blackenburg and Michael Bunting have already been traded?

The Toronto Maple Leafs kept Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Bobby McMann, and Scott Laughton off the roster for roster-related reasons after trading Nic Roy to Colorado.

What will the Calgary Flames do with Nazem Kadri and Blake Coleman? Are the Vancouver Canucks moving a ton of pieces like Elias Pettersson, and others?

Will there be trade-offs?

What’s the Latest Headline on Deadline

Emily Kaplan: “In Bristol, where I’ll have updates on all of SportsCenter, The Point & Intermissions tonight, but here’s what I’m hearing ahead of tomorrow’s NHL Trade Deadline.

-NYR wants to move Vincent Trocheck, but it doesn’t sound like they have an offer they want right now.

-Sergei Bobrovsky and Jordan Binington are available, but it is unclear if there is a trade partner.

– It is possible that the captain of Chicago sells Nick Foligno in the right situation. CBJ and Wild enter.

-Capitals are not pure sellers, despite Nic Dowd’s departure. No progress in contract talks with John Carlson but would be surprised to see him traded. (They traded Carlson to the Ducks for original terms)

NHL Rumors: Vancouver Canucks, NY Rangers, Minnesota Wild, and Toronto Maple Leafs

-Kings is now a wild card team in terms of direction.

The names of the NJD defenders are there because they want a hockey trade, to add a forward. Maybe a better business in the summer.”

Dave Pagnotta: “Columbus is now 1 point back of Boston for the final wild card spot in the East. The word is #CBJ they are looking to consolidate before tomorrow’s deadline.”
