Wilson brings together his 2026 release with a great answer to improve players who want their instruments better.
Wilson’s new Dynapwr Forged irons are entering the compact player grade area of the market, but with the reverse design and AI-generated “flexible face technology”, they are pushing to the top of the category.

By combining unreal precision with AI-driven design, we’ve created an instrument that delivers range, control and a sense of perfect harmony.”

What’s new with the 2026 Wilson Dynapwr Forged irons – and why you should care
While the previous Dynapwr Forged steels were very successful, the 2026 models improve on them by adding improved face thickness with the help of AI. This eliminated the need for power ports on the previous model.
Variable face thickness helps improve face flexibility, thereby increasing ball speed.
Dynapwr Forged also features a new KR-CUP face design, which passes through the face in one place, which improves the elasticity of the face further, especially in small hits.
To help improve feel on the forged 8620 carbon steel chassis, the holes in the 3- to 9-iron are filled with urethane to improve feel.

Whose: Players who are improving their hitting skills and want something more premium feel without sacrificing forgiveness and speed, or going for something more compact like a hollow body.
My take: The last episode of the renewed series
Many people will ask if they should choose between a Dynapwr Forged or a Staff Model XB iron. But in fact, the new Dynapwr Forged completely fills the gap between XB and regular Dynapwr steel.
Dynapwr Forged is clearly in the category of that distance player with entries like the P790, JPX 925 Forged, Ti Fusion and many others for players looking for speed and forgiveness.
The Dynapwr Forged would fall on the bigger and faster end of that spectrum, while the XB falls more into this new category of player performance.
What is the difference? I believe it depends on your inclination. This Dynapwr Forged is great for the developing player who needs to build confidence, but also wants to start feeling the premium feel. In other words, they are an improving player, rather than a player looking to regain lost performance.
You can still benefit from a lot of modern technology, like the new variable face thickness and urethane-filled hole, but you can also hone your accuracy with more player shape than the Dynapwr irons.
Dynapwr Forged offers Wilson a complete steel frame with no one left out. Another step towards the return of one golf (and sports) product.

Wilson’s new Dynapwr Forged irons are available for pre-order February 5 and will arrive at retail locations by February 19.
The full set will cost $1,199.99 for the 5-GW with steel blades or $1,299.99 for graphite. 3- and 4-irons are also available for customization.
